Nimbus Dance Elects New Board Officers to
Lead Organization into Exciting Season of Growth and Expansion
[Jersey City, NJ] – Nimbus Dance, a trailblazing arts organization rooted in Jersey City, proudly announces the election of a new slate of officers to its Board of Directors. These esteemed leaders bring a wide range of expertise in arts, architecture, marketing, civic leadership, and strategic growth and will guide Nimbus into a bold next chapter.

This newly elected officer team will lead Nimbus through major upcoming initiatives including:

The expansion of the beloved Jersey City Nutcracker into Jersey Nutcracker, bringing the timeless holiday production to communities across the state including at New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and Kean University;

The opening of The School of Nimbus Dance in Summit this September, which will offer top-tier youth dance training, adult dance classes, and world-class performances to families in Union County and surrounding areas.

The development of Nimbus’ next multi-year strategic plan, with a focus on organizational growth, deepened community engagement, and long-term sustainability.

Founded in 2005 by visionary Artistic Director Samuel Pott (former soloist with the Martha Graham Dance Company) and based in Jersey City, Nimbus stands at the forefront of excellence in the arts, civic engagement, and equitable impact. With a highly physical and visually engaging aesthetic, the company performs nationally and throughout the greater New Jersey/New York region, impacting more than 16,000 people annually.
Nimbus maintains its home base at the Nimbus Arts Center in Jersey City—a 14,500 square foot interdisciplinary venue that houses the company’s administrative offices, performance space, and robust arts education initiatives, including The School of Nimbus. In September, Nimbus will expand its footprint with the opening of a new location in Summit, NJ, extending its mission and programming to families in Union County and beyond. Recent collaborations include partnerships with the Boston Symphony at Tanglewood, the New Jersey Symphony at NJPAC, the Gordon Parks Foundation through The New Tide by Dawn Marie Bazemore, and the Bar Harbor Music Festival at the Acadia Dance Festival, which Nimbus produces.
