Nimbus Dance seeks Male Dancers for Company Positions for 2025-2026 Season

Dancers should have professional experience, be highly proficient in modern and contemporary ballet technique, and have strong partnering skills. Nimbus Dance looks for dynamic movers whose work shows curiosity, courageousness, dedication, and expression. Nimbus Dancers are adventurous collaborators, responsible group members, interested in building community impact through the arts, and are committed to working at a high technical level. Repertory includes works by Artistic Director Samuel Pott, and a range of guest choreographers including: Dawn Marie Bazemore, Roger C. Jeffrey, Pedro Ruiz, Darshan Singh Bhuller, Yoshito Sakuraba, Sofia Nappi, and others.

2025-26 Season includes Fall and Spring Jersey City Seasons at the Nimbus Arts Center, expansion of Jersey Nutcracker to NJPAC and to the Kean Stage/Wilkins Theater, the premiere of Anima, Samuel Pott’s 3-part series exploring human relation to the natural world, a world premiere by Houston Thomas with the West Village Chorale, and dancer choreography opportunities.

 

Nimbus Dance Contract Information:

Nimbus Dance company contracts consist of a minimum 24 weeks of work, including rehearsal and performance periods, touring, and teaching. The contracted period runs September 15, 2025 to May 17, 2026, with possible extension for Summer 2026.

Starting Company Salary: $475 – $600 / weekly base for 20 hours/rehearsal week + performances. Company class provided.

Medical insurance: employees may enroll in Nimbus’ contributory group plan, covering 50% of monthly premiums.

Health/Wellness Stipend: $600 reimbursed for health spending during contract period
