Nimbus Dance at the Acadia Dance Festival 2025

The Acadia Dance Festival returns to Bar Harbor, ME – featuring performances by the acclaimed Nimbus Dance with musicians from the Bar Harbor Music Festival.

Nimbus Dance performs: Samuel Pott’s “Dark Water,” a visually immersive meditation on water, the oceans, and human vulnerability created in partnership with composer Qasim Naqvi, with sets by Guggenheim Fellow, visual artist Nicola López; “The After Party” by Dawn Marie Bazemore, a vibrant tribute to jazz legends Nina Simone and Nancy Wilson; and live musicians from the Bar Harbor Music Festival join for “Memo” a poignant dance performed alongside youth participants from the Acadia Dance Festival Summer Intensive and Camp Beech Cliff.
