Position Summary
The Front Desk Manager is the first point of contact at the Nimbus Arts Center, overseeing the daily operations of the front desk and ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and professional environment for patrons, artists, and community members. This role supervises and schedules front desk staff, upholds organizational standards, manages customer service and escalations, and works closely with leadership to support events, rentals, and programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the front desk team, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Maintain daily operations and ensure adherence to front desk policies, procedures, and customer service standards
- Handle patron inquiries, resolve escalations, and provide excellent customer service
- Utilize DanceStudio Pro, ClassPass, ArtsPeople, and Google Workspace to manage scheduling, rentals, and day-to-day operations
- Collaborate with the Rental/Facility Manager to schedule staff coverage for rentals, events, and Nimbus programming
- Meet weekly and report directly to the Managing Director and Rental/Facility Manager
- Assist with basic administrative tasks as needed
- Manage office supplies and ordering (e.g., paper goods, ink, etc.)
- Foster a culture of professionalism, proactiveness, and excellence within the front desk team
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years front desk or customer service experience (arts/nonprofit setting preferred but not required)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Beginner to intermediate proficiency with Google Workspace, DanceStudio Pro, ClassPass, and ArtsPeople
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Background in dance or other art-based disciplines
- Bilingual
