Position Overview: The Production Manager will oversee all technical, logistical, and operational elements required to execute dance company performances, school showcases, outside rental shows using the Nimbus’ theaters, and special events. The Production Manager also oversees inventory, maintenance, and functionality of theater and studio spaces. This role ensures productions run safely, efficiently, and on schedule, while supporting artistic vision, dancer and student experience, and organizational goals.

Hours:

This position requires  schedule flexibility and often requires evenings and weekends and occasional overnight travel on tour with Nimbus Dance Company.

 

Physical Demands:

The job requires regular bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, and climbing; often lifting and moving heavy items, gear, or scenic elements weighing between 30 and 50 pounds independently, and up to 100 pounds with assistance or team lifts.

 

Work Environment:

The Production Manager splits their time between office-based work with moderate noise and traditional and untraditional performance venues, including theaters, studio settings, and outdoor events. This position requires the ability to navigate an assortment of environments, including those with low or high sound volumes, bright or dim lighting, and tight spaces.
