Nimbus Dance seeks Dancers for Company Positions for 2025-2026 Season
Dancers should have professional experience, be highly proficient in modern and contemporary ballet technique, and have strong partnering skills. Nimbus Dance looks for dynamic movers whose work shows curiosity, courage, dedication, and expression. Nimbus Dancers are adventurous collaborators, responsible group members, interested in building community impact through the arts, and are committed to working at a high technical level. Repertory includes works by Artistic Director Samuel Pott, and a range of guest choreographers including: Dawn Marie Bazemore, Roger C. Jeffrey, Pedro Ruiz, Darshan Singh Bhuller, Yoshito Sakuraba, Sofia Nappi, and others.
2025-26 Season includes Fall and Spring Jersey City Seasons at the Nimbus Arts Center, expansion of Jersey Nutcracker to NJPAC and to the Wilkins Theater at Kean University, the premier of ANIMA, Samuel Pott’s complete 3-part series exploring human relation to the natural world, a world premiere by Houston Thomas with the West Village Chorale, and touring throughout the Northeast.
Audition Details
June 9th, 2025 – Pre-Assigned time slots beginning at 11:00 AM
June 10th, 2025 – Callbacks 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Company Contract Details
Contract Length: Minimum of 28 weeks, including rehearsal, performance, touring, and teaching.
Contract period: September 15, 2025 – May 17, 2026, with possible extension into Summer 2026.
Compensation:
- $550–$600/week base salary for 20-hour rehearsal weeks + performances
- Includes daily company class
Benefits:
- Medical insurance: 50% of monthly premium covered under Nimbus’ group plan
- Health & Wellness Stipend: Up to $500 reimbursed for eligible health spending during the contract period
