Nimbus Dance seeks youth dancers to perform on July 21 at Tanglewood with the company and Boston Symphony Orchestra. Dancers should have prior dance technique and performance experience, be quick learners, and be focused in the studio. Dancers of all backgrounds are encouraged to audition.
Selected youth cast dancers must be available for all rehearsals and performances July 16 – 21. Rehearsals will occur at Cantarella School of Dance & at Tanglewood’s Koussevitzky Music Shed. Boston Symphony Orchestra & Tanglewood present Xian Zhang conducting Copland and Dvořák featuring Nimbus Dance on July 21, 2023. Nimbus Dance (Jersey City, NJ) will perform Founding Artistic Director Samuel Pott’s “Spring,” a reinterpretation of Aaron Copland’s renowned score Appalachian Spring – choreographed originally in 1944 by Martha Graham and known as an iconic work American modern dance tradition. Spring is performance by a cast of 6 professional dancers from Nimbus and ~16 youth dancers.
