NimbusPRESENTS: Música y Ritmos – Segunda Quimbamba & Pedro Giraudo Tango Quartet
Date: Saturday, October 17, 2020
Time: 8:00 pm E.D.T.
On Saturday, October 17 at 8pm, the new Latin American Music Series Música y Ritmos begins with a double bill performance. Jersey City legends, Segunda Quimbamba, are joined by 2018 Latin Grammy Award Winner Pedro Giraudo and the Pedro Giraudo Tango Quartet. In accordance with state regulations, the performance will be open to a limited in-person audience, with the option to stay home with a live-stream that will include exclusive content from our artists and other New Jersey leaders. Join us at the Nimbus Arts Center in person or online the weekend prior for an Intro to Salsa Master Class on October 10th and an Intro to Bomba Master Class on October 11th at 6pm, for an experiential prelude to the upcoming concert. Nimbus, in partnership with Jersey City’s Segunda Quimbamba, produces Música y Ritmos – Latin American Music Series as part of the inaugural season at the Nimbus Arts Center at the Lively. Música y Ritmos ties together the diverse lineage of Latin-American music created and produced in Jersey City and Hudson County over a 100 year history. The Series is both based in the history and roots of Latin American music in the region and also a celebration of the exceptional local Latino/a music artists working today.
