¡Disfrutar los sabores Latinos! Música y Ritmos returns with an incredible line-up of musicians, dance and music workshops, visual arts, and food! In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, come out and enjoy! Performances by Segunda Quimbamba Puerto Rican Folkloric Ensemble, and Gabriel Alegría Afro-Peruvian Sextet.
Online ticket sales end September 25 at midnight. Tickets can be purchased at the door starting at 12:30 noon on September 26.

1:30pm – 2:15pm – Bomba y Plena Exposure : Experiential Workshop with Segunda Quimbamba. Get an introduction to the instruments and rhythms of the Puerto Rican forms. Dance and drum with the band!
2:00pm-4:00pm – The Gallery at Nimbus: Wyme Santos Curates “Hadali (sun) Kathi (moon) Vuniabu (water)”
3 pm – Grooving & Afro-Peruvian Rhythms: with Gabriel Alegria Afro Peruvian Sextet. Gain unique insights into the narratives of Peruvian musical traditions in this hands on and interactive workshop. Participants will be guided through the dance, music and poly-rhythms abundant within the music of the band.
3:40pm – 4:40pm – Performance: Gabriel Alegría Afro-Peruvian Sextet
5:00pm – 6:00pm – Performance: Segunda Quimbamba
About the Nimbus Arts Festival:
Nimbus leads Jersey City and statewide audiences back to live performance with the first annual, star-studded, outdoor Nimbus Arts Festival, presented on the Harborside Campus with lead sponsorship by Mack-Cali.
