
Jack Murphy
(Novi, Michigan) (he/him/his) began dancing at the age of six by the suggestion of his mother after being wildly unsuccessful in sports. After finishing high school, Jack became a trainee at the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago before beginning his four years at the Juilliard School. Jack has danced works by Martha Graham, Ohad Naharin, Jose Limon, Matthew Neenan, Andrea Miller, Brian Arias, and Nelly Van Bommel during his time at Juilliard. In 2020, one of Jack’s video works “Pink Narcissist” was presented as part of The Invisible Dog “Pride Music Video Festival”. He has also presented work in White Wave’s 2020 “SoloDuo Dance Festival”. Upon Graduation Jack has worked with Buglisi Dance Theater for their 9/11 Table of Silence Project, and also with Matthew Westerby. This is Jack’s first season with Nimbus2.
