
Aanyse Pettiford-Chandler
(Carteret, New Jersey) (she/her/hers) began her training in ballet, contemporary, acro, jazz, and modern. Graduating from Rutgers University she received her BFA in Dance and a Minor in Africana Studies. While in school she had the opportunity of joining Ocampo- Wang Dance Company where she was able to travel and perform in Bacolod, Philippines and Beijing, China. Throughout her career she has trained under artists such as Brittany Engel-Adams, Maleek Washington, Chien-Ying Wang, Randy James, Samuel Pott, Donald Byrd and more. She has also had the privilege of performing on many stages including the Joyce Theatre, where she performed works by Camille A. Brown, Yvonne Rainer, Martha Graham, Bill T. Jones, Darrell Moultrie, Reggie Willson, Christian VonHoward and Donna Uchizono. As a professional dancer Aanyse is now a performer in companies such as ~mignolo dance~, i KADA Contemporary Dance Company and is in her third season with Nimbus Dance.
