
Agustin Gomes
(São José dos Campos, Brazil) (he/him/his) began his professional dance training at Instituto Marco de Dança in his hometown. There he competed and placed in many dance competitions including the XXVIII International Dance Seminar of Brasilia, where he was prized 1st Place Overall and received full scholarships to train with the prestigious Alonzo King LINES Ballet and Lamondance. During his time at Lamondance (Canada), Gomes worked with esteemed choreographers Kirsten Wicklund, Noam Gagnon and Alysa Pires. After that he joined New York Dance Project under the direction of Davis Robertson and Nicole Duffy as a company member where he performed Carmen Suites restaged by Sonia Calero Alonso as well as pieces by Gerald Arpino. Agustin then joined Ballet Hispanico second company and performed pieces by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Michelle Manzanales, Eduardo Vilaro, Pedro Ruiz and many others. This is Augustin’s first season with Nimbus.
