Auditions for: Junior Youth Ensemble, and Scholarships

The Junior Youth Ensemble (JYE) explores increasingly challenging repertory, works intensively with professional choreographers, and develops tight bonds with a core group of motivated peers.

Participants can expect to make significant progress in dance technique and performance skills – and have a lot of fun! The JYE performs the role of the Red Ribbon Calligraphy (Chinese) in our Jersey City Nutcracker and 4 times throughout the spring, including public performances and at the School of Nimbus Dance Spring Showcase. Admission to the Junior Youth Ensemble is by discretion of Nimbus Dance staff or audition.

JYE participants are required to take a minimum of 3 technique classes a week (Modern or Ballet), in addition to JYE rehearsals. JYE member must be 9-13 years of age. Please contact the Nimbus office at (201) 377-0718 or JYE@nimbusdanceworks.org for more information.
